Very secluded ecologically stunning craftsman style Inn located in one of the last places on earth where the soils are still fertile and rich from a volcanic history, the water is pure and crisp from mountain run off and the people are humble, simple and genuine. Clean, friendly and accomodating. We came to visit from Boulder and fell in love...we will be back with friends! Homemade meals accomodated our vegan desires.

Relatively good stay. Beautiful lobby and nice staff. However, many things were dated and the wifi was no good. There was hardly anything to do in your room but a good place to stay only to stay for a short amount of time. I wish it could be better because cuchara is the most underrated place in Colorado in my opinion
A limited menu. Advertised breakfast all day, but it was not available when we wanted it in the evening. My salad was great. Fried chicken was good. Priced reasonably. It was a mixed experience.
Great inn situated in a beautiful place, with affordable rates. The building has largely been renovated and is very woodsy inside, see some recent pictures for examples, but it has some old bones that creaked quite a bit in our room. A review of the inn can't be complete without mentioning the little town around it, with a couple nice shops and two restaurants, one of which is standard bar fare and Timbers, which was very upscale and accordingly expensive. Alden is the guy to ask for if you need anything; he was doing it all during our stay and was very accommodating and helpful.
HalleluYah! I'm overwhelmed with beauty around these parts. The Aspen wood construction is magnificent. The Gathering Place in lobby is pure mountain beauty. Truly a tranquil getaway during the Fall for healing and restoration. Thank you Alden!!
